Welcome to my page! My name is Ms. Tanyu and I am a 7th & 8th grade ELA teacher. I graduated from Tufts University with a Bachelor of Science in English and Environmental Studies and also just finished my Masters of Arts in Education Leadership at Columbia University. I look forward to another amazing year!

1st Marking Period Objectives

R.1 Read closely to determine what the text says explicitly and make logical inferences from it; cite specific textual evidence when writing or speaking to draw conclusions drawn from the text.
R.3 Analyze how and why individuals, events, or ideas develop and interact over the course of the text.

Tuesday, 9/15: Think of someone you’d like to interview about their life. In "Responses and Class Notes", write down their name and come up with 10 interview questions for that person.
Wednesday, 9/16: Interview your person. You have until Sunday, Sept. 20th. We will use this information in-class on Monday.
